Hours, doctors, services, species, refill policy, urgent-call instructions, and the questions your team handles every day.
AnswerOtter handles after-hours, lunch, weekend, busy, and unanswered-call overflow. It captures appointment and refill requests in English or Spanish and follows your clinic-approved urgent-call instructions — without giving medical advice.
Demo line: Call (323) 403-4857. AnswerOtter identifies itself as AI and notes that calls may be recorded. Use sample details—the demo does not book appointments or give medical advice.
AnswerOtter gives routine callers a useful next step while your staff stays focused on the clinic.

Clinic-approved emergency instruction
This is not a generic answering bot. We build and test AnswerOtter around the facts, boundaries, and follow-up process your team approves.
Hours, doctors, services, species, refill policy, urgent-call instructions, and the questions your team handles every day.
Every test covers the AI and possible-recording disclosure, routine requests, English and Spanish, and urgent situations such as toxin ingestion.
Your team hears the line, checks the clinic facts, and approves the call handling before forwarding any live traffic.
Activation combines clinic-specific implementation with 30 live days of managed overflow. The live period begins only after the real forwarded-line acceptance test passes.
Start with implementation and 30 live days. Continue at $249 per month only after your clinic confirms it wants the same approved overflow scope to continue.
No. It answers approved practice questions and collects caller details. If a caller describes an urgent situation, it follows the clinic-approved emergency instruction and does not diagnose or recommend treatment.
No. AnswerOtter Veterinary Group is our product demo line. It does not book an appointment, approve a refill, or notify a veterinary clinic. Calls may be recorded, so use made-up details. A customer deployment uses only that clinic's approved facts, routing, and follow-up process.
No. AnswerOtter collects the pet, reason for visit, preferred day, owner details, and callback number for staff confirmation. Direct calendar booking and practice-management-system write-back are not included.
Yes. Every voice agent identifies itself as an AI assistant and gives the recording notice in the first sentence. That disclosure is not removed for conversion.
Yes. It is configured for English and Spanish and switches when it recognizes Spanish. Every clinic deployment is tested in both languages during setup.
It collects the caller's details for the clinic's approved follow-up process. The exact boundaries and escalation instructions are defined and tested during setup.
The $199 activation includes implementation and the first 30 live days for one clinic, one phone line, and the clinic's configured overflow schedule. After both signatures, Pat sends the authorized billing contact one private, clinic-bound Stripe Checkout Session for that activation. The live period begins only after the forwarded-line acceptance test passes. There is no per-minute or usage billing during those first 30 live days. We measure call volume and review abnormal volume with the clinic instead of applying an automatic cutoff or surprise charge. We send a continuation reminder on service day 23 and a follow-up on day 27. Silence stops service on day 30, followed by a 14-day reactivation window without another activation fee, subject to availability. Affirmative continuation is a flat $249 per month for the same approved overflow scope and then renews monthly until canceled. Initial continuation and reactivation require AnswerOtter to verify the corresponding $249 Stripe Invoice as paid; an opt-in or Checkout return alone is not payment proof or service authority. If a later recurring renewal Invoice remains unpaid, we send immediate notice and a day-3 follow-up, then stop service at the end of the three-day grace period unless exact provider readback proves payment. A clinic may choose cancellation at the paid-period end or immediate service stop; neither creates a partial-period refund. If sustained volume materially exceeds the approved scope, any adjustment requires at least 14 days' written notice and new written terms; no charge is retroactive. The $249 monthly rate is locked for 12 months from verified go-live for the approved scope.
The managed service does not include direct PIMS or calendar booking, SMS, human-receptionist fallback, caller payment collection, web chat, or outbound reminders. Appointment and refill requests go to staff for confirmation.
The setup target is up to seven calendar days after the signed agreement, verified activation payment, intake, phone access, routing instructions, delivery destinations, and live-testing cooperation are complete. Clinic delays or third-party limitations can extend that target. Service begins only after the production delivery path and the clinic's real forwarded-line acceptance tests pass.
Start with a direct conversation about your clinic and phone system. Pat coordinates fit, written scope, payment, setup, and testing; live traffic starts only after your clinic approves the tested forwarded-line experience.
